Enjoyable read! I found myself very drawn to the characters and wanted to meet them in real life.
A particularly enjoyable read if you live in Portland and know - or want to get to know - a lot of the locations/haunts! The story is always suspenseful in a positive, affirming way. Looking forward to the further 'adventures' of Mata Morrow!

Mata Morrow takes you on an intriguing journey through the eclectic neighborhoods of Portland as she and her friends help to solve a mystery. I loved the first book and look forward to next one! Hey, when can I order one of Mata's steamer trunks?!
Enjoyable read! Character-driven story with just enough revealed to keep one guessing. Spending time with Mata, I could feel Portland in a way Carrie Brownstein would envy. I can't wait for the next installment so as to spend more time with these lovely women. (Not to mention the sage sartorial advice!)
Engaging, fast moving story. Wonderful to see read the Portland and Oregon spots, interesting characters, surprising/satisfying outcome. On to the next with pleasure.
Life is too short to read poorly written books. I'd like to say better but it just wasn't good. I read about 1/3 of the book and gave it away. Friend also did the same. Maybe all the good happens later in it but couldn't last to get there.
